Simonis
Cloth is the most widely copied cloth in the billiard
industry.
Unfortunately,
not all people represent their copies as copies, but as the genuine
article. For this reason, it is necessary to take steps to
ensure that our customers are receiving genuine Simonis cloth and
not a counterfeit reproduction.
Simonis
marks the selvedge (edge) of the cloth with laser printing.
This process is difficult to reproduce and it is unique to Simonis
cloth. In addition, Simonis cloth is marked with brand
identification and serial numbers printed with phosphorescent inks
in the middle of the cloth at one-meter intervals. You can
find these markings using a black light and they can be used to
trace the cloth back to its original manufacturing and distribution.
